Our Story

ImageResizer was born in 2012 out of frustration. Back then, resizing an image meant installing software, navigating complex menus, or paying for subscriptions to tools that should have been simple.

We built a single-page tool that did one thing: resize images instantly in the browser. No uploads. No waiting. No software. Within a year, millions of people were using it every month.

Over the next decade we expanded — adding crop, compress, and convert tools — while staying true to our founding principle: your images stay on your device. Always.

Today ImageResizer is one of the most-used free image tools on the web. We're still independent, still privacy-first, and still obsessed with making image editing as fast and accessible as possible for everyone on earth.

Our Mission

What We Stand For

Three principles guide every decision we make — from how we build features to how we handle your data.

Privacy by Design

Your images are processed entirely in your browser. They never touch our servers. This isn't a feature — it's a fundamental architectural decision we will never change. Your photos belong to you.

Free for Everyone

Professional image tools should not require a subscription. The core ImageResizer tools are free forever — no credit card, no hidden limits for everyday use. We sustain this through optional paid plans for power users.

Fast & Simple

The best tool is one you don't have to think about. Every feature is designed to take the minimum number of clicks. We test every tool on slow connections and old devices because everyone deserves fast.

Our Values

How We Work

The principles that guide every product decision, hire, and feature we build.

01

Ship fast, learn faster

We prefer releasing and iterating to waiting for perfect. Every feature starts small and grows based on real user feedback.

02

Simplicity over features

We say no to most feature requests. The best tool does fewer things better, not more things adequately.

03

Trust is earned, not assumed

We earn trust through transparent policies, honest communication, and by never monetising your data.

04

Accessible to everyone

We test on low-end devices and slow connections. Image tools should work for a student in Bangladesh as well as a designer in New York.
