Privacy Policy

We built ImageResizer with privacy at its core. Your images are processed entirely in your browser — we never see or store them.

Overview

The core principle: your images are processed 100% inside your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. They are never uploaded to our servers, never stored, and never accessible to anyone.

This Privacy Policy describes how ImageResizer ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website at imageresizer.bd. By using ImageResizer, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data with transparency. This policy is written in plain language — not legal jargon — because you deserve to understand exactly how your data is handled.

Data We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Account data: When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and encrypted password.
  • Payment data: If you subscribe to Pro or Business, payment details are processed by Stripe. We never store your credit card numbers.
  • Support messages: When you contact us, we collect your name, email, and the content of your message.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage analytics: We collect anonymised data about which tools you use and general usage patterns via Google Analytics.
  • Technical data: Browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and approximate geographic region.
  • Log data: Server logs include IP addresses and access timestamps, retained for 30 days solely for security purposes.

Your Images

We never receive, store, or process your image files on our servers. All image editing (resize, crop, compress, convert, flip, rotate) happens entirely within your browser.

When you load an image into ImageResizer, the file is read into your browser's local memory using the JavaScript File API. All rendering is performed directly on your device via HTML5 Canvas.

The resulting file is generated locally and downloaded directly to your computer or phone. At no point does your image data pass through our servers or get logged anywhere.

This design is intentional. It means ImageResizer works offline once loaded, and guarantees that your personal, commercial, or sensitive photos remain 100% private.

Cookies & Tracking

We use a minimal set of cookies that are necessary for the site to function, plus optional anonymized analytics cookies:

Essential cookies

  • Session cookie: Keeps you logged in during your active session.
  • Preference cookie: Remembers your preferred tool settings.

Analytics cookies (optional)

  • Google Analytics: Anonymized usage data to help us improve tool performance and UI layout.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site marketing trackers.

Third Parties

We share minimal data with a small number of verified service providers:

  • Stripe: Payment processing for Pro subscriptions. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified.
  • Google Analytics: Anonymised usage analytics without personal identifiers.
  • Cloudflare: Content delivery, DDoS protection, and secure DNS.

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.

Payments

All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. When you subscribe to a paid tier, your transaction is processed securely through Stripe's encrypted infrastructure.

We only receive confirmation of your subscription status and plan tier. We never store or have access to your full credit card number or CVV.

Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR and CCPA), you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of any personal data associated with your account.
  • Correction: Update or rectify your account information.
  • Deletion: Request permanent deletion of your account and related records.
  • Portability: Receive your data in a structured machine-readable format.

Children's Privacy

ImageResizer is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
